Jason Gandy,
Artist and Carpenter

Born in Ithaca, NY, Jason Gandy was raised on Roosevelt Island, an island sandwiched between New York City's Manhattan and Queens.  He majored in art at New York City's LaGuardia High School, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, informally known as La Guardia Arts.  Afterward, Jason got his Bachelor in Fine Arts, (BFA), in sculpture from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA.
 
He also studied abroad in Rome.  While a student, Jason worked summers at a fishery in Alaska, later focusing on bicycle messengering for income.  Soon, he began work at a custom furniture shop, and various set shops doing woodworking and metalworking.  This eventually led him to start his own company, Aardvark Interiors, which specializes in custom shelving and cabinetry. 
 
In 2007, Jason had his first solo art exhibition at Rabbithole Gallery in DUMBO, (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass), in Brooklyn.  This led him on a path of solo shows, most recently ATIXIP part II, a nautical installation and live performance in the attic of a Brooklyn town house.  His next show, Live!infili!, will be opening at Rebekah Templeton Gallery in Philadelphia in September 2010.

Liz Vacco, 
Brooklyn-based performer and choreographer and
founding member and the Managing Director of Immediate Medium, Inc.,

For the past ten years, Liz Vacco has been active in the New York theater and dance communities, performing and creating with Les Freres Corbusier, The Collapsable Giraffe, Fovea Floods, Gold No Trade, The White Horse Theater, Sidra Bell NY and at St. Ann's Warehouse, P.S. 122, Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater and the Hangar Theater.
 
As a founding member, Liz is also the Managing Director of Immediate Medium, Inc., (IM), a non-profit performance collaborative founded in 2002 and dedicated to building a community of artists through the creation of works of art utilizing live performance and multimedia.  IM seeks to challenge formal distinctions between performance, dance, film, sculpture and architecture in order to create new works of experiential art that engage and provoke creators and audience alike.  Since 2002, she has contributed to all IM works as a collaborator, choreographer and performer. 
 
Additionally, Liz teaches dance, theater and yoga to young children through the New York City Ballet’s Ballet Bridges and Ballet Tales Programs, at Discovery Programs and at Let's Dance Brooklyn.  She has choreographed for student productions at the Browning School and the Imagine Project.  She also worked for the non-profit organization, The Children's Aid Society, implementing and expanding the after-school theater program at P.S. 5.  She received a Bachelor of Arts, (B.A.), from Yale University, where she served as Co-President of Yaledancers.

Siobhan Towey,
Actress and Member of Immediate Medium, Inc., (IM)

Siobhan Towey grew up on Roosevelt Island, an island sandwiched between New York City's Manhattan and Queens, and now resides in Brooklyn.  She received her Bachelor of  Fine Arts, (BFA), from New York University Drama; The Stella Adler Conservatory and the Experimental Theater Wing.  She also studied corporeal mime at The Decroux School of Mime in Paris.
 
Some film credits include: TRAIL OF CRUMBS (Hoboken Film Festival); EDEN JONES, directed by Eli Rarey; THE FAMOUS JOE PROJECT (Slamdance Film Festival).  She was a resident member of The Bat Theatre Co. @ the Flea Theatre (NY) as well as Shakespeare Santa Monica, near Los Angeles, and has appeared in many various and wonderful downtown theatre plays in New York City and Los Angeles.  The gamut runs from The Irish Repertory Theatre, in New York City and The Cherry Lane Theatre, also in New York City, The Source Theatre Co. in Washington, D.C.  
 
Siobhan has appeared on televison on The Daily Show, Nickelodean, and other TV shows.  Her dialects include: Irish, Scottish, Cockney, British, and is fluent in French.   Her skills also include Badminton, Basketball, Softball, Rollerblading, Ice skating, Track Bike Riding, Bike Riding, Field Hockey, Street Hockey, Knitting, Yoga, African Dance, Mime.   For additional information, click on her website, www.siobhantowey.com
